The God of Truth

One of the problems we face with this pandemic is to know who to believe. Medical experts, politicians, plus the media all paint different pictures of this pandemic and what we should do to contain it. We long for someone to tell us the truth. But what is truth? Truth is that which conforms to or accurately describes reality. Man may shade or distort the truth; Only God is 100% truthful! He cannot lie. Our God is the God of truth. And if God is true, then it follows that His Word is true, for God's word accurately describes what has been, is, and will be. But since fallible men wrote down the Scriptures, how can we be sure that God's Word is accurate? Can the Bible be trusted to be accurate in areas of science and history, as well as faith and ethics? And if God is true, then all truth is absolutely true. The opposite of absolute truth ins Scripture is not relative truth, but rather mythology or a lie. Because God is truth, we have a framework from which to view and evaluate life as it really is. And because God is truth, we do not need to be afraid of learning for it all points to God, the one who embodies TRUTh!
