The Dream of Earthly Kingdoms

When the book opens up in the first chapter we find that Daniel is alive during the reign of King Nebuchadnezzar.

In Daniel chapter 2 King Nebuchadnezzar has a crisis.
Nebuchadnezzar has some nightmares that really trouble him.

In one of his dream he sees a giant image of a human in which a stone from Heaven strikes its feet and the image is destroyed.

The stone that strikes the image becomes a great mountain and it fills the earth.

Dan2. 28 NKJV But there is a God in heaven who reveals secrets, and He has made known to King Nebuchadnezzar what will be in the latter days…

Daniel saw in the king'd dream an outline of Gentile World history culminating in the Second Coming of Christ.
