David at His Best

This sermon illustrates something more than simply an incident in David's life or an isolated act of kindness to Mephibosheth. In other words, we are able to trace in it aspects of the ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ. David, in a smaller way, is acting like the Lord Jesus Christ will act in a bigger way. So, in David's act of mercy, we will see something that we are to copy as an example. But we are also to see something in it that will teach us about the work of our Lord Jesus Christ.
