The Apostle Paul, after after explaining the Bad News of how completely lost and dead we were without Christ (see the sermon from May 30th), he goes on to give the Good News - that God loved us so much that he made us alive in Christ even when we were dead and totally helpless. This is completely a work of God's love and grace, not our own, so that He will be praised in the ages to come for his goodness toward those who believe in Jesus.
