The War Within

The law of sin can imprison believers if we do not walk by the Spirit (v. 23). Why would God design salvation to be like this? Why does God want this struggle to take place? It is so that we will see our wretchedness (v. 24) and depend upon Jesus Christ (v. 25) rather than our own efforts.
