Basic Bible Doctrines: Conversion - Turn to God with All Your Heart

In this series on Basic Bible Doctrines we are
considering several of the elementary truths of God's
Word regarding the God's revelation of himself and
the work of Redemption.

We are progressing through a series of studies on
the Ordo Salutis (or Order of Salvation). With this
morning's study we are looking at the second
outworking of God's grace in the hearts and souls of
men: CONVERSION.

Before time God sovereignly determines to save his own. In time he effectually calls them. The result of this call is the regeneration of their hearts. This becomes evident when they are brought to faith and show that they are converted. Hence, conversion is the fruit or evidence of regeneration (and not the other way around).

In our study of Joel 2, we find God's exhortation to be converted... to seek God with their whole hearts. Those with regenerate hearts will.
