Moses' Prophecy of Pentecost Fulfilled

77

The events of Pentecost Sunday were not unique... they were not without historic precedence. In Numbers 11 Moses is so greatly burdened and discouraged that asks God to help him... even kill him.

In response God says He will take from the Spirit that is upon him and put it upon the 70 elders of Israel who will help bear the burden with him.

Well, when this happens each of those endowed with the Spirit prophecy (just like they did on Pentecost morning) and when a couple of the 70 were not at the Tabernacle, they too received the Holy Spirit and prophesied. When word of this came to Moses he says "Oh that all God's people were prophets and that the LORD would put his Spirit upon them!"

Well, this is exactly what happened on Pentecost Sunday 49 days after the resurrection of Christ.

We will see:

  1. The Grievous Complaints of God's People
  2. The Gracious Provision of God's People
  3. The Enlightened Perspective for God's People.

Enjoy
