Shiloh, Jerusalem, Jesus

In his famous Temple Sermon, Jeremiah connects the destruction of Jerusalem in 586 BC back to the Philistine's removal of the Ark of the Covenant from Shiloh. Jesus connects Jeremiah's sermon to Titus' destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD and to Final Judgment. As glory once departed, so we face a similar prospect without deep repentance and a return to God through Jesus Christ.
