God in the Hands of Angry Sinners?

Popular theology says that God is in the hands of sinners - that sinners' destiny turns upon the hinge of their will. That God's power and actions turn upon the hinge of their will. That God will if 'you will let Him.' That God can if you will 'let go and let God have His way'. That God is in sinners' hands. Our church does not believe for one moment the Bible teaches that. Rather, we believe 'The Lord hath made all things for himself; yea even the wicked for the day of evil.' Proverbs 16:4
