In Isaiah 7:1-25, we are shown 4 kingly responses to
earthly threat
I. Ahaz responds fearfully to earthly kings (vs. 1-2).
II. The heavenly King responds to Ahaz's fear
A. Remind him of My promise of a remnant (v. 3).
B. Command him to rest in me and fear not, for
earthly kings are no match for Me (vs. 4-9a).
C. Warn him to stand firm in his faith, or he will
fall (v. 9b).
D. Offer him the comfort of any sign he chooses
(vs. 10-11).

III. Ahaz responds in unbelief to the heavenly King
(v. 12).
IV. The heavenly King responds to Ahaz's unbelief.
A. I will give my sign: Immanuel (v. 14).
B. I will bring judgment on Syria & Israel
(vs. 15-16).
C. I will bring judgment on Ahaz and Judah (vs. 17-25).
