Memory verse: 1 Cor.3:15
Directions: Read the verses and then answer the questions:
Day 1: Gen13:8-13 & 1 Jn2:15-16 What desires within Lot caused him to choose the plain of Jordan? How is his choice like Eve's decision to eat the forbidden fruit? How can we protect ourselves from making poor choices like Lot? What spiritual danger did Lot not consider when he made his choice?
Day 2: Gen19:1-11 Previously, Lot lived in a tent, but where does he live now? How do we know Lot was accepted by the people of Sodom? When the angels show up, how does Lot begin to act? What does this reveal about his understanding of the people of Sodom? How was Lot influenced by his time in Sodom? Discuss why we should be very careful about the influences we allow into our lives.
Day 3: Gen19:12-30 How did Lot spoil his witness to his sons-in-law? How do Christians today commonly spoil their witness? Why did Lot "linger" in Sodom? Why did he argue with the angels who were
trying to rescue him? What did Lot flee the world too late to avoid? What do Christians give up if they "build" a worldly life on the foundation of their faith in Christ?
