We Believe in One God, the Father

The Nicene Creed is careful to present God as one who is not only almighty, but who is also Father to his people. This sermon focuses on the first major phrase in the Nicene Creed which describes God:
"We believe in one God, the Father." This statement is based on the Biblical revelation of a key aspect of God's being: he is heavenly Father to his people. It was, in fact, Jesus Christ who clearly and frequently revealed that God is his heavenly Father and the Father of all who believe in him. It is through Christ that we can come to know God as Father as we also accept and believe in his Son Jesus Christ.
