Praching Peace to the Far and to the Near

In the first part of Ephesians 2, Paul focuses on what Christ has done to reconcile us to God. Beginning in verse 17, he reminds us that reconciliation is to be announced to the nations. It is not good enough to be potentially reconciled; that reconciliation must be proclaimed and believed. Christ has already begun this work, but continues to announce the good news through his church today. This sermon admonishes us to be a part of that mission, and to contemplate the implications of being united as one people to God.
