The Supremacy of Love

Our text teaches us that charity, or love, is greater than faith and hope. And if this does not persuade you of the supremacy of love, look at the opening verses of this famous passage of I Corinthians 13 where this teaching is further expounded. Have you ever been transformed into a noise maker when talking to others? Does all your wisdom and understanding do nothing to prevent you from being good for nothing? Does your warfare against poverty not make a bit of difference? The answer to all of these questions is ... Yes! ... if you do not have love.
