The Connection of Prayer, Preaching, and the Cleansing of a Sinner

The way in which the leper bows before Christ and makes a simple statement is helpful in confronting the error of modern ABC evangelism that is a plague to the church. The manner and order in which the author of the 2nd gospel presents truth is not an accident in Mark. He links things together in a way that is instructional. This is seen in the brief mention of prayer, followed by a reference to preaching and then the cleansing of a leper. The leper and his cleansing represents a sinner and his salvation but before this happens Christ is praying and preaching. The connection is beautiful and helpful.
