Heart and Soul Love

Aim: To love Christ wholeheartedly—as His redeemed church.

Exegesis: Let us love the Lord's being with our heart and soul. This is obedience (v. 13); this leads to blessing (vv. 14-15); this averts disaster (vv. 16-17). Let us love the Lord's word with our heart and soul, focusing on the gospel (v. 18), living in the gospel (v. 19), and thriving through the gospel (vv. 20-21).
