Our Christian Experience

The goal of the Christian life is one of personal and experiential communion with the crucified and risen Lord Jesus Christ. Correct knowledge of doctrine will lead to Christ likeness. John Murray referred to it as "intelligent piety." So Christianity must not only be known and understood and believed but also experienced that is felt, enjoyed and applied. In this context Pastor Cavin will begin a series of sermons this Lord's Day in the PM Worship entitled "The Basics of Our Christian Experience." He will begin by focusing upon "Free Grace" followed by such topics as The Conversion Experience, The Law Experience, The Peace and Joy of Justification, The Experience of Love in Our Adoption and other vital aspects of our Christian experience. There is much confusion in the church today about the Biblical teaching concerning these matters and how we are to live in the light of truth. But, the Bible is clear, Romans 6:17 says "...thanks be to God, that you who were once slaves of sin have become obedient from the heart to the standard of teaching to which you were committed..."
