Violence in David's House

A man rapes an innocent virgin. Her cousin helped arrange it. Her father is king and is angered but does nothing about justice. Her brother murders the half-brother who raped her. Where is God? God is sovereign and in the middle of it all. Allowing and even purposing sin to run its course and to demonstrate the truth—the wages of sin is death and destruction. The consequences of sin are such that succeeding generations ought to read this text and beg God for sanctification and salvation from sin in this life as well as in eternity!
