The response of the church

Having considered the issues relating to church office and church officers, what ought to be the response of the church? Here are several practical answers to the “So what?” Question.

We should adore Christ for his gracious gifts to his church; we should appeal to the Lord for the continued and abundant supply of such gifts; we should aspire to be such gifts, serving God in this generation; we should assess the men we have, as to whether or not they meet God’s standard; we should approve those men who attain and maintain that standard; and, we should appreciate those gifts that Christ has given.
