The Lord Is On Our Side

The focal point of Psalm 124 is the Lord as our champion in battle, the ultimate power in all of existence. We are assured of this because He created all that exists.

The Psalmist continues a tone that actually began toward the end of Psalm 123. The message in the psalm is directed not toward the author but toward God's covenant people as a body. This places double emphasis on the importance of embracing and applying the message to our own lives.
