From Darkness to Light

Since the first deception in Eden, humanity has been subject to the “domain of darkness,” a domain that is ruled by Satan, in which evil flourishes, and which arises from the rejection of the knowledge of God. It’s also the one we prefer. But to remain in that domain is catastrophic. The eternity for such is even more darkness, unending darkness. Upon hearing the Gospel, however, the one who believes is “delivered. . . from the domain of darkness and transferred. . . to the kingdom of [God’s] beloved Son.” This is the power of God that qualifies one “to share in the inheritance of the saints in light,” a power we wield when we preach “the word of the truth, the gospel”
