Conscience

The presence of conscience in every human is a legacy of being made in the image of God and serves, as Paul describes, to bear witness with conflicting thoughts accusing or excusing (Romans 2:15). The conscience is how our moral self is directed and is, therefore, an important organ within us. But what directs the conscience? The conscience is directed by the moral framework that we have become convinced determines right and wrong. What’s important to realize, however, is that the conscience is not fixed. It can be retrained.
