God designed married love to be tenaciously exclusive, dangerously hot (like a fiery kiln), absolutely unquenchable, and totally unbuyable. If you opened the door of love's fiery kiln you would find that it reflects God Himself. Marital, romantic, sexual love is exclusive and unquenchable because God’s love for His people is that way. Marriage is the way it is (it’s not just the way traditional Americans do relationships) because it's is rooted in the very fabric of our beings as God’s creatures who are created in His image. So, married couples must beware of "playing with the fire." They're called to be exclusively devoted to one another as long as they live as a picture of God’s committed love for his people.
