THE LORD'S MINISTRY CONTINUES IN GALILEE AS:

2. He commissions the 12 and sends them out, 7-13

GOSPEL MISSION IN JESUS CHRIST IS:

1. Awakened by providential circumstance, 1-6
2. Appointed in powerful Gospel proclamation (14-15), 8-13

II. PROJECTION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT BY IDENTIFICATION 6:14-30

AS THE 12 WERE SENT OUT TO PREACH:

1. Herod identified apostles' mission with what he knew, 14-16
2. We are reminded the reason Herod arrested John, 17-20
3. We are told the circumstances behind John's death, 21-29

GOSPEL MISSIONARIES IN JESUS CHRIST:

1. Will be identified with their Master, even by unbelievers, 14
2. Will be misunderstood in their ministry, 15-16
3. Will be persecuted & have tribulation in the world, 16-20
4. Will be put to death at the expense of man's pleasure, 21-30

III. PROVISION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT THRU HIS WORK 6:30-56

AFTER THE 12 RETURN:

1. Jesus calls the disciples to Himself to rest, 30-33
2. Jesus feeds the multitudes 5 biscuits & 2 bait fish, 34-44
3. Jesus walks on water & calms the sea, 45-56

IN GOSPEL MISSION, CHRIST PROVIDES:

1. Rest & repose in Christ's presence, 30-33
2. Revelation truth for countless souls, 34-44
3. Reason to trust Him in every circumstance, 45-52
4. Reality that it truly is HIS work we are taking part in, 53-56
