The Mediator of What's New

Every four years, in our own nation, we bear witness to a presidential inauguration. It marks the beginning of a new office holder, or sometimes a victorious incumbent. In the event that it is fresh face to the office, there is every expectation that this new president will bring new policies, new personal, a wholly other kind of administration of that high office. The coming of Christ marks a wholly new inauguration, a new administration of that ancient covenant promise that God would deliver His people through His appointed Messiah. This week we look at the inauguration of the new covenant in Christ's death, what was necessary for the inauguration of it, what has changed through it, and what the future will be even as Christ has succeeded in His mission.
