We Have Now Received Reconciliation

‘Standing in Grace,’ introduces a series of five studies from Romans 5: 1 & 2. The English translation commences with ‘Therefore,’ so we first examine aspects of the doctrine of ‘Justification by Faith,’ as revealed in the lives of Abraham and David from the previous chapter. Paul’s theme is the righteousness provided by God revealed in key words: Justification by faith – peace with God – access by faith – grace in which we stand – rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Our relationship with God has been settled by His action through the death and resurrection of Christ, not by our action.
