Troublesome False Teachers

182

Here, the Apostle Paul identifies various problems, and troubles within the church in Crete. He provides strong advice on how to respond to the false teachers that are troubling the church, and emphasises the importance of dealing with error.

There are important lessons here for the church in our own day when, we know to our cost, that false teachers and false gospels abound. We learn how these things impact upon our culture, causing the defiling of the conscience and the mind.

Although we, as Christians, have to live in this world, we are reminded to be unspotted by it. We are further encouraged to have a mind that is spiritual, and maintain a firm belief in the sufficiency of God's Word.
