Frustration and Faith

This message is actually a focus on John 16:1: "I have said all these things to you to keep you from falling away." Disappointments arise when expectations are not realized. Professed Christians have abandoned the faith over unrealized expectations. Jeremiah struggled with his call due to the awful treatment he received, even from close friends. Thus, he laments in Jeremiah 20. The principal that all believers must embrace is to walk by faith and not by sight. Indeed, Jeremiah, by faith declared, "The Lord is my Portion" (Lamentations 3:24).
