A Godly Prayer Life

Have you been praying for someone or something for a long time and it seems as if God is not answering? Maybe you have doubts and questions. Should you just throw up your hands in defeat? Does the Lord want us to keep praying for this thing or is He tired of hearing the same prayer? What do we do with unanswered prayers?
