Jesus declared the prophecy in Zechariah 13:7 speaks of Him. God the Father is the speaker. God the Son is His object. The "sword" smote Jesus from His cradle to HIs Cross. Swords are for one thing, to kill. Jesus gave His life's blood to fulfill the will of the Father, satisfy justice, to substitute Himself for God's elect and save them from sin and for eternity.
He suffered unto death to earn righteousness, thereby justifying those given to Him.
