Leaving the Beginning of Christ's Doctrine in Moses

Paul directs the believing Hebrews to leave behind the old covenant understanding, which words were every bit as much the doctrine of Christ as the doctrine of Christ is in the New Testament except that there it was wrapped in types, shadows and figures; whereas the New Testament is a clear, bright, pure revelation of Jesus Christ. Paul's goal is to show them Christ's high priestly function to God in their behalf.
