The Rarity of Christ's Love

Christ wants us to know the love that He has for us. But in order for us to truly comprehened and appreciate His love, we have to remember how hellish and hateworthy we were in our lost condition. We were under the wrath of God and had nothing in us to provoke the love of Christ. If we would know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, we need to understand how unlovely we were in our sin.
