Sin is Like Weeds (part two)

In many ways the church in Sardis mirrored the history of the city.
They got lazy. They did not keep watch. The enemy snuck right in. Often true in the church and often true in our own personal life.
Has the enemy snuck into your personal life? Has he planted false wheat in there? Have you allowed him through the gate? Have you fallen asleep?
So what does He tell them to do? Strengthen what remains, be watchful, (pay attention!), Satan does not show up in front of you and ask you to throw off your first love. He is sneakier than that. The weeds can be growing all around you and you hardly notice it. “Hold fast and repent.”
