06-The Preacher Must Never Be Boring

I do not apologise for saying over and over again that a
preacher must never be mind-numbing. I have just quoted
Spurgeon:
If I see anybody turning round, whispering, nodding, or
looking at his watch, I judge I am not up to the mark, and
must by some means win these minds. Very seldom have I
to complain, and when I do, my general plan is to complain
of myself, and own that I have no right to attention unless I
know how to command it.
