The Two Ditches

There are two ditches into which most of Christianity tends to fall at any point in time. The first ditch is a dualistic pietism, which denies the externals of the Christian life and the objective aspects to the law. The second ditch is hypocrisy, where the law is turned into a mere external list or recipe for life. How does a well-mannered modestly dressed girl grow up in a homeschooled home and turn into a fornicating party anmial practically overnight? How do we train our children to be good little hypocrites, our own whited facade on our sepulchres?
