Obedient Children

Following the exhortations to wives and husbands, Paul now begins to lay out the reciprocal duties of children and parents. Children are here addressed as responsible members of the congregations. They are to obey both parents, and this is a further example of the submission within divinely ordered relationships that is expected in God's kingdom.
