1 John 2:18-25: They Are Not All of Us

The apostle John continues to warn and encourage us to persevere. In this passage, he uses the departure of false professors from the church as an encouragement that those who are indeed children of God will certainly persevere.

We also learn that there is Trinitarian harmony in the way God preserves His people.

Finally, we see the crucial importance of a regenerate church, and that should lead us to two specific practices in the church: believer's baptism and church discipline.
