Holiness Under Pressure

In this overview of Peter's first letter we see that the context is one of suffering. The dispersed believers are already suffering, and Peter knows that even greater persecution is right around the corner. Peter exhorts God's elect to endure the suffering, but even more than that to live holy lives in the midst of it. This holiness under pressure is part of our calling, it is evangelistic, and to respond appropriately we are to follow the example of Christ.
