Stay the Course Steadfast & Faithful

The anchor at all times in all places during all circumstances is God who is unchanging. That being so, remaining steadfast and faithful to the Word of God will be the means of endurance and courage, as well as the source of guidance for the times as they unfold. In the closing comments of this letter three commands are given to further direct the believer in staying the course God has laid out. First to keep on remembering the message proclaimed and believed as taught by the leaders of the church. Second, to consider the course of life of those who have gone before, by faith, demonstrating their faithfulness and steadfastness to the Truth of God's Word. The third command is a warning to not be carried away by strange teaching that contradicts the Word of God, in other words, the Truth they have been taught. Commands necessary to be taken seriously by believers today so as to likewise be on course and accomplishing the will of God in individual lives as well as corporately as the local body of Christ.
