Holiness and Evangelism

Walking in light means having nothing to do with unfruitful works of darkness. We must dwell in the light to bear fruit, and want to bear more fruit because we love God. It doesn't matter if we are mocked for the gospel; Christ was. If we don't long for the salvation of others, we are not saved ourselves.

We must expose the darkness, and not imitate the world, nor disconnect from it, but confront it. Let us not be identified with darkness. It is possible to reprove the acts of darkness without participating in them, as Jesus did. What we win others with, we win others to.

Some sins are too spiritually corrupting to be spoken about, and should only be exposed to the extent to rid them. Let us not overindulge in the sins of our past, lest we corrupt others.

Love should be our motivation for reproof. Either we love God and others to share the gospel, or we love ourselves that we keep silent. We should also expose darkness in each other's lives and build one another up in love.

We expose darkness by shining light. If there is no light, there is no exposing, then no conviction, no repentance, and ultimately no salvation. We need God's presence; Christ is the true light. We expose darkness by God's Word which cuts to the heart, and also through good works. Others should see and ask us of our difference. We can confidently share the gospel because salvation is possible, because light can transform darkness.

Abide in Christ. Be filled with the Spirit. Prayerfully study Christ's life. Read the Bible. Lead your families in devotions, prayer, and also in good works. Prayer for strength to expose darkness. Engage in pubic evangelism.
