Hard Discipleship

There is a reason we do not preach a health and wealth Gospel- it runs counter to everything taught in the scriptures. We do not know the path of Sanctification that God has chosen for us. In this passage we are presented with some hard truths of what we will experience as disciples: If those we are sharing the Gospel with choose not to believe- we are not to force or forebear upon them; we will be persecuted for our beliefs; we will be hated for the Truth of the Gospel; we will preach an avoidably divisive truth; and in all this God will be our provision in word and material needs.
