Paul declares in graphic terms the problem of sin. And, he declares dramatically that Jesus has to do something in order for us to get all these good things from God promised in Ephesian 1:3-6. And, its serious. There’s blood involved. We need to be bought and the price is blood. There are two things that Jesus accomplishes to make guilty sinners right with God. He “does away with sin” and takes away our guilt.
