The Time of the Latter Rain

Here in Zech 9 we are immediately pointed to events we find in the New Testament. For example, in verse 9 God dictated to Zechariah the prophecy of Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem, 5 days before He went to the cross. This was written more than 400 years before it actually happened. So, immediately we can see that this section of Zechariah speaks to the subject of Salvation.
