Peace Two

It is important to know what out peace with God is based upon for Satan and circumstances will combine to take our peace away. It is important to know that God's wrath because of our sin was propitiated at Calvary. Christ made complete atonement, for those that the Father had given him, by the blood of His cross. God's justice was satisfied. It was not possible that Christ should be holden of death because he had made complete atonement and death had no further claims upon Him. Christ secured forgiveness for us at Calvary. That which He purchased for us is gifted to us when by the operation of the Holy Spirit, in conjunction with the Word written or preached, is bestowed upon us as a free gift. Our standing before God is based completely upon the atoning work of Christ and His perfect righteousness imputed to us. Nothing can overturn that.
