2 Peter 1:12-21 Study Peter's second letter was one of his final works.Peter knew that this letter might be his last words to those who read it.So, he reminded them of the source of their faith and directed them to a variety of reference points that could help them to keep on believing. God has supplied an abundance of trustworthy evidence, evidence that His salvation is authentic. You can know for sure, without a shred of doubt, that the salvation which comes through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ is real and lasting. It is as though Peter said, "When I remember the Transfiguration, I think of the glory of the Scriptures, it is the sure Word of God, it is the shining Word of God, it is the Spirit-given Word of God."
