What is an Elder? 1 Peter 5:1-4

Although elders were predominant during the life of the nation of Israel, we find that biblical New Testament church elders serve quite a different function, role and responsibilities. We consider what Peter writes to the elders in the churches in Asia Minor during his lifetime, and also review the history of elders from even ancient Egypt and Israel, their strengths and weaknesses.
