Set Free by the Son of God

One of the most graphic testimonies of Jesus' power to set oppressed people free from demons is seen in this incident. We see a tormented man, a powerful Deliverer, a fearful population, and then a devoted disciple in the man set free. This poor man's experience is a picture of every Christian's experience: we were captive humans but Jesus' intervention has also made us a liberated people, a loved people, and a proclaiming people.
