Cultivated Lowliness, Part 2

Believers make trade-offs when they accept Christ. It's a worthwhile trade and we are by far the beneficiaries in the exchange. But when times are tough and sadness or trials engulf us, it can be hard to remember what God has promised for His children.

In this portion of scripture, Jesus reminds us the power of God to redeem spiritually dead people, and His power to recompense or compensate Believers. We have rewards – not just in heaven – but here on earth as well. And that should be both a comfort and a reason for rejoicing – no matter what our circumstances.
