Praying Widely, and Deeply

God is not just interested in saving individuals but in creating a community at peace. His gospel not only reconciles us to himself but to one another. It is the love of Christ that accomplishes this. So, we need to pray for each other to be able to comprehend this—not the idea but the love. We need more strength than we have in ourselves, more depth, more of Christ to penetrate our whole being. It is what goes deepest in us that will go widest to the world.
