Worshiping God as He Commands

From the Second Commandment we learn how important proper worship is and how serious it is to sin against God in this regard.

In the 'worship wars' of our day, churches need to go back to Biblical principles for worship. God has revealed himself as Spirit -- so must be worshiped in Spirit. God has revealed himself in the gospel of Christ -- so central to worship must be the preaching of the gospel. God has given specific commands and prohibitions as regards worship -- so these must be followed.

Otherwise, the wrath of a jealous God is provoked against a church, and he visits iniquity of fathers on children.

God preserves churches, and blesses them in covenant generations, as they worship him properly.
